Well, I've been pretty busy recently, doing some art and actually some game production which I thought I might share, it's deviantART so why not!
The game I'm making is a retro SNES-style game (excuse the nerd language) made with RPGM2003. The idea of it so far is that there's three normal people (I'm thinking of a fourth character) lost inside of a dream but they're all not aware of it, and they must "wake" themselves to realize that they all are dreaming. The game's so far includes two stages; The Forest of Dreams and the Temple of the Dead. I don't want to blurt out too many details but the gameplay is like FF6, time system.
So far the characters are a warrior named Brian, a mysterious woman named Gina (with magic powers), and a spunky thief named Nero. I'm trying to make a weird-surreal kind of atmosphere (being inspired story wise by David Lynch) for the most of the development. Sorry, but I'm not making demos, because I truly hate demos! Once I finish it I want to post it somewhere. Well, if I finish it, I'm trying to make it the best thing I ever made, just like an art piece!
I'm also working on artwork for the portfolio. I'm going to make a couple serials, 3 pieces on 3 or 4 old childrens book stories, three of them so far; the Wizard of Oz, Little Red Riding Hood, sounds corny but The Little Mermaid. Making them interesting by using a new technique where I'm drawing all in graphite pencils and painting them in Adobe, trying to make a blend of my traditional skills and my digital skills to make artwork where you can't tell how it's done, and it still looks good, and very expressionistic, stylized, and a retro-cartoon look. It'll take a while, but it will be worth it.
